On Wednesday, April 9, the Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Studies section of the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures hosted a dinner for heritage speakers of Spanish at the Center for Identity and Inclusion. The event gathered more than 60 people, students and faculty, to meet each other, form mentoring relationships, and learn about the resources and opportunities for Latinx and Hispanic undergraduates on campus.
RLL alum Susana Inés Pérez (PhD'17) recently published El Brujo, el último juglar (Ediciones Antígona, 2023), which features a prologue by Mario Santana. On April 20, 2023, the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Madrid (RESAD) hosted a presentation of the book as part of Madrid's "La noche de los libros." Susana was joined by RESAD Director Pablo Iglesias Simón, Rafael Álvarez, El Brujo, and Conchita López Piña of Ediciones Antígona. The event was recorded and is available on YouTube.
