Graduate student Paulina León was recognized with the Society for Renaissance and Baroque Hispanic Poetry (SRBHP) 3rd Founders' Prize for Best Graduate Student Paper. Her winning paper was entitled "Destiérrense las sombras: Liberation Plague Poetry in Seventeenth-Century Cádiz."
Paulina accepted the award in September 2023, at the 16th SRBHP Biennial Conference, which was held at the University of Illinois Chicago.
