Le Pouvoir en procès. Opinion publique et légitimité politique des Lumières au Premier Empire—a volume edited by current graduate student Ryan Brown and doctoral alumnus Maximilien Novak—was published today with Classiques Garnier as part of the "Rencontres" series. This collective edition, adapted from the proceedings of last year's colloquium at the Franke Institute, examines the role of public opinion as a legitimate political force, from the Ancien Régime to the First Empire.
Ryan Brown is a fifth-year graduate student in French and Francophone studies. Please join us in congratulating Ryan on his first publication!
Since graduating from RLL, Maximilien Novak has worked as a lecturer in the Department of French and Italian at Dartmouth College.
