Early-Career Scholars Recognized for Their Innovative Research

Nikhita Obeegadoo, who recently joined RLL as an Assistant Professor of French and Francophone Studies, has been awarded a awarded a Neubauer Family Assistant Professorship. These five-year professorships empower and support outstanding early-career academics at the University of Chicago. She will join a multidisciplinary cohort of scholars undertaking "bold, ambitious" research careers.

Caterina Nicodemo, a PhD candidate in Italian Studies, has earned the Giuseppe Velli Graduate Prize from the American Boccaccio Association.
