The Romanian translation by Alexandra Ionel of Khalid Lyamlahy's novel "Évocation d'un mémorial à Venise" (Présence Africaine, 2023) has just been published by Casa Cărţii de Ştiinţă in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
In April 2025, the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures hosted the second annual Virgilio Lecture Series. The lecture series, featuring Sergio Luzzatto (University of Connecticut), was entitled “Primo Levi and His Auschwitz Companions: Between History and Literature.”
