Nené Lozada, Director of the Spanish Language Program, and third-year undergraduate student Alejandro Orihuela have been awarded the Quad Faculty Research Grant to investigate the linguistic landscape of the Spanish-speaking community in Pilsen, Chicago.
Paolo Cherchi, Professor Emeritus of Italian and Spanish Literatures, will recieve an honorary doctorate degree from the Sapienza University of Rome (Università degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza") on October 30, 2024. The ceremony will air live on YouTube.
