María Gutiérrez Bascón and Katrina Powers, both graduate students in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Studies, have each been awarded a 2016-17 Mellon Humanities Dissertation Completion Fellowship.

José Estrada and Medardo Rosario, both graduates student in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Studies, have each been awarded a 2016-17 Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship.

French graduate student Rebecca Crisafulli has been awarded the 2016-17 Franke Institute for the Humanities Dissertation Completion Fellowship.

David Reher, graduate student in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Studies, won a Fulbright U.S. Student Program Fellowship.
