Subject Area: Italian Studies

I received my BA in both Italian Studies and Vocal Performance from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA before teaching English in a high school in Busto Arsizio, Italy.  As a musician, my interests lie heavily in music.  I'm interested in how both Italian lyric opera and folk music influence history, literature, politics, and culture, and vice versa.  Further, I'd like to explore how these themes appear in fables, folklore, poetry, and stories, through both an aesthetic and dialectical lens.
