Eduardo Leão has a degree in Portuguese from the Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, Brazil, and a Ph.D. in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Studies from the University of Chicago. In addition to Spanish and Portuguese, he has also taught English as a Foreign Language. His interests include Latin American contemporary literature, science fiction and Amazonian studies.
