Yuyang Zhang holds a B.A. in Italian Studies from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and an M.A. in Italian Studies from Beijing Foreign Studies University. As an exchange student, she spent one year at the University of Rome “la Sapienza” and one year at the University of Pavia. Her master’s thesis was focused on the manuscript culture of The travels of Marco Polo and its reception in China in the early 20th century.

Several books translated by her from Italian to Chinese are published, including La mente inquieta. Saggio sull’Umanesimo of Massimo Cacciari, Storie di cervelli. Dall’antichità al Novecento of Claudio Pogliano, as well as two other book series for teenagers. In addition, she has other translations slated for publication which also include Asiatica Ambrosiana, Orientalia Ambrosiana of Pier Francesco Fumagalli, Il genio di Leonardo artista e scienziato of Alessandro Vezzosi and another series for National Geographic.
