Biography

Eve earned her BA from Cornell University, graduating summa cum laude in French with a double major in English. Her undergraduate honors thesis, “Le soi dans l’eau : une lecture poétique de la subjectivité chez Montaigne,” is a poetic reading of several of Montaigne’s essays informed by theories of lyric poetry, by 16th century and Baroque French poetry, and by textual analysis. She also holds an MFA in fiction writing from the University of New Hampshire. Her short story “Hirsute,” part of her Master’s thesis short story collection, won the Thomas Williams Memorial prize for fiction.
