Beginning Elementary French II

This course is the second in a three-quarter sequence and builds on the foundations established in FREN 10100. It expands students’ communicative proficiency through increasingly complex, task-based engagement with authentic cultural content.

The course emphasizes functional proficiency, with attention to present- and past-time frames, and engages students across all three modes of communication (interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational). Sustained engagement with French and Francophone content deepens cultural awareness and encourages ongoing intercultural reflection.

Prerequisites
FREN 10100 or placement into FREN 10200.
