After graduating from my BA in Modern Languages from the Universidad de Deusto, Spain, I  earned my MA and PhD in Hispanic Linguistics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. My dissertation and research focus on bilingualism and code-switching within the Determiner Phrase. During my time at UIC, I have taught a wide variety of courses both in the Spanish Basic Language Program and advanced topics for Spanish majors and minors.
