In October 2023, the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures hosted the inaugural Virgilio Lecture Series. The lecture series, featuring Adriana Cavarero (Università degli studi di Verona), was entitled “Women and Monsters: the uncanny of maternity in literary imagination." The entire lecture series is now available on YouTube.
Presented by the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures, the “New Directions in Francophone Studies” lecture series will consist of four talks, to be held throughout January.

Associate Professor Noémie Ndiaye and Assistant Professor Maria Anna Mariani will each accept an Aldo and Jeanne Scaglione Prize for their recently published books.
