Staging A Queer Nation: Landscapes of Desire in Contemporary Catalan Drama

Isaías Fanlo joined the department of Romance Languages and Literatures in 2014. His research interests include twentieth and twenty-first Century Catalan and Spanish Literatures, from an interdisciplinary point of view and with a focus on Contemporary Catalan Drama. He received his B.A. and M.A. in Humanities and in Theories of Literature and Comparative Literature in Barcelona (Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Universitat de Barcelona), and a Postgraduate in Direction and Management of Cultural Institutions (IDEC, Barcelona). Before moving to Chicago, he spent eight years in charge of cultural contents, editions and exhibitions in the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, and he’s a founding member of Coincidencies, which promotes culture and arts in public and private spaces in disuse. He’s also a translator and the author of El llibre rosa (The Pink Book).
