Claude Grangier has been working in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures for fifteen years and had almost two decades of experience teaching French as a foreign language before she arrived at the University of Chicago. Claude's interest in foreign language pedagogy is theoretical as well as practical. She has presented a few papers on foreign-language teaching methodology. She is the co-author (with Nadine Di Vito) of the first-year French textbook used at the University of Chicago, and the author of the second-year French textbook used at the university.
