My love for languages has accompanied me ever since I was born. Cross-cultural exchange has also always seemed to me a natural way of living, for I was born in a geographical borderland inside a cultural minority. I grew up bilingually (Spanish and Basque), and during my adulthood I have acquired a good proficiency in three other languages (English, Italian and Catalan). My life journey to date has allowed me to gain extensive experience with languages, especially as a language learner.
The logical transition from being a devoted language learner for me was to become (at least in part) a language teacher. Seeing the paths multi-lingualism can open, I became eager to share my experiences of language acquisition. I have taught Spanish since 2011 in different American university and colleges.
In my previous professional life I worked as a translator and a cinema critic, and I wrote a PhD about Spanish cinema.
